The surrounding area has been developed into a well-maintained recreational space with BBQ facilities and seating areas that take full advantage of the panoramic vistas.
Our Experience:
This spot surprised us on our first visit — we expected just a windmill photo op, but discovered a genuinely excellent picnic area with stunning views. It’s become one of our favorite lunch stops when riding inland routes from Figueira da Foz. The combination of history, scenery, and facilities makes it special. Locals clearly take pride in maintaining this place.
